Although read by numerous and widely-varied churches, educational institutions and individuals (this web site now has over 70 million web server hits per week) around the world, Daily Bible Study is independently written and produced by me. Unless otherwise noted, I am the sole author and source of the studies.
I was born and raised as a Roman Catholic but have had nothing what-so-ever to do with that organization for over 25 years, since the early 1970s, the time that I began basing my Christian beliefs solely upon the Word of God, the Holy Bible (I now in fact very strongly disagree with many of the Church of Rome's doctrines and regard it to be the great false church as plainly described in the Book of Revelation). I have never been a member of any other church organization. My church membership today is that of the Biblical Church of God (see Which Church Should I Attend?) of which I am now the pastor of a small independent group in my local area.
I write the studies for those who choose to visit the web site and read what is made available. If you are willing to accept what the Bible plainly says, there is a very good chance that you will find Daily Bible Study useful and enjoyable.
Although I earlier used the New International Version (NIV) for about the first year (1998) of this Daily Bible Study and then the Revised Standard Version (RSV, which is based on the American Standard Version) for the studies until December of 2003, I now use only the King James Version (KJV) for all studies.
Daily Bible Study is written from a worldwide point of view, for a planet-earth readership (the studies are now read by many thousands of people each day in over 160 countries, see also The Border That Matters To God) in accordance with the Scriptures: "this Gospel of the Kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations" (Matthew 24:14 KJV).
I was born and raised in Canada, a land of true political and religious freedom, a nation that I deeply love. My family settled over eastern North America, Canadian and U.S. born, in Ontario (I live in southern Ontario, about 100 miles southwest of Toronto, geographically about half way between Detroit, Michigan and Buffalo, New York), Quebec, Illinois, Pennsylvania and Maine. My ancestors were originally from Germany in the 1860s and northern Belgium (Dutch Flanders) in the 1920s.
A man in Texas wrote to me not long after I began this online Daily Bible Study and called it a "tell it like it is" ministry, and I would agree with his statement. There is no intent to agree or disagree with, or to offend or to flatter, anyone in anything that is written. I have no "axe to grind" with anyone or any church (unless they have an "axe to grind" against God's Word, the Holy Bible), and I have nothing to do with politics - local, national, or international. I do the Biblical research, and then I publish the study based on the research - nothing more, nothing less.
Why is Daily Bible Study produced?
This Daily Bible Study is the fruit of over 25 years of Bible-based Christian study. Over that quarter-century (I'm 50 now), I have read the Bible, in its entirety, in many different versions, over 200 times - a practice that I continue every day. I have also carefully studied a tremendous amount of material, Christian and secular, pertaining to the many aspects of Christianity - the history, the people, the places, the things, the archaeology, and the prophecy. I say this in humility, as a simple statement of fact to answer those who have asked, not as some sort of boast. Those who are called to teach must first learn.
I produce this web site solely to encourage people to read the Bible (see 52-Week Bible Reading Plan), to study the Bible, and especially to believe the Bible. The Word of God is where the absolute Truth will be found, not from anywhere, or anyone, else.
Like water from a mountain spring, I believe that Christianity is most pure at its source. While there are fine and honorable Christian teachers and ministers here and there around the world, there remains a very fundamental question: Can the word of any human be more right than The Word of God?
Although I honestly believe that what I write is correct, having carefully and painstakingly researched all studies that are published, I make no claim what-so-ever to infallibility. Being a mere sinful human, it's certain that I am wrong in places (no human is infallible, nobody) - hopefully, very few. That's the reality of being human, which even the writers of the Bible itself had the honesty and courage to admit (see Paul's Mirror).
I can say with certainty that this Daily Bible Study has made a difference in the lives of many people, with the number of readers continuing to increase rapidly. This web site is now being used by people all around the earth, and of practically every Christian church and denomination. People whose doctrines differ tremendously on a church to church level very often find agreement in the straight forward Bible-based studies presented here. It's really quite amazing how much understanding can be achieved just by looking, with our own two eyes, a little more closely at The Word of God - and trusting God for the answers.
God willing, I hope to publish this Daily Bible Study for many years to come - during which, I am absolutely convinced, we are set to witness some of the most spectacular events in all human history. In these exciting and challenging times, I hope that this Daily Bible Study will serve as a useful and trustworthy "road sign" on your journey along The Way.

How To Receive Your Daily Bible Study CD
(Please read carefully to understand how and why the CDs are available)
This ministry web site, with thousands of Bible studies (including a new study added every day, 365 days a year) is always freely available for everyone. As such, this Daily Bible Study has become a very expensive time and financial commitment for the author and the publisher. Every study, that takes you only minutes to read, takes many hours of work to write, format and technically make available and maintain on the web server. Without help, it would be impossible for this Daily Bible Study web site to continue. That is the simple reality of the situation.
We are not "selling" CDs. The CD is our humble thank you gift to the faithful who realize the importance of making Bible-based Christian teaching available to "all the world" as Christ commanded His servants to do. The map is an actual Daily Bible Study server statistics "snap shot" of visitors to Daily Bible Study at 7 am local time recently. The green bars represent the percentage of visitors to the web site (where on the planet requested pages were being sent to) at that moment in the entire time zone directly above the green bar. The graphic constantly changes through the day like a rolling wave across the world's time zones.
The Daily Bible Study Library CD is not for sale. The Daily Bible Study Library CD is produced as our thank-you gift to each person who actually makes a minimum $10 donation (in US, Canadian, Australian or New Zealand dollars, or 5 UK Pounds, or 5 Euros) to help this ministry to survive. The $10 / 5 Pound / 5 Euro minimum is required because it is the "break-even" cost of producing, handling and mailing the CD - amounts less than $10 / 5 Pounds / 5 Euros are therefore not a donation to this ministry but actually cause an unaffordable financial loss to the author.
The Daily Bible Study CD functions with Windows 98, ME, 2000 and XP. The directly-readable CD is designed to be easily and instantly portable from computer to computer. The contents are formatted to appear the same as the online Daily Bible Study web site and will automatically open by means of your computer's standard browser. Complete instructions are included with the CD.
Making a donation to Daily Bible Study is simple and easy
Donations are accepted in US, Canadian, Australian or New Zealand dollars, or British Pounds, or Euros, payable by personal check from your local bank - the easiest and preferred method of most people. We are able to accept regular personal checks payable from any bank in the US (in US dollars), Canada (in Canadian dollars), the United Kingdom (in Pounds or Euros), Australia (in Australian dollars), New Zealand (in New Zealand dollars) or Europe (in Euros) - write the check exactly same as if it were to someone local.
Donations may also be made by means of an International postal money order (e.g. US domestic postal money orders marked "Negotiable Only In The US and Possessions" are void in Canada).

Your thank you CD will be mailed in the very next day's mail after your donation arrives. The CDs are packaged in paper CD sleeves and mailed by regular First Class Mail in order to keep the minimum donation affordable for everyone.
Your CD should arrive in about 2 weeks after the day that you mailed your donation i.e. 1 week for your donation to arrive after you mailed it, then 1 week for your thank you CD to travel to you.
