Arimathea

Arimathea was the home town of a man named Joseph who is known to Bible History for his having placed the body of the Messiah in Joseph's own new tomb in Jerusalem. Today, the location of Arimathea is uncertain, with three separate towns being possibilities: Ramathaim in the Israelite territory of Ephraim (the birth-place of Samuel), Ramleh in the Israelite territory of Dan, or Rama in the Israelite territory of Benjamin (see Bible Places).
