Aw-mawn

Some tend to believe that the New Testament is more about faith than the Old Testament, but the righteous men and women of the ancient time also had much faith. The Old Testament Hebrew word (pronounced) aw-mawn means faith, or trust, so it should be no surprise that this verse, and many like it, are found in the "Old" Testament: "Love The Lord, all you His saints! The Lord preserves the faithful" (Psalms 31:23 RSV). From aw-mawn was derived another Hebrew word, aw-mane, which means truly, and from it comes the popularly known and used amen.
